Fendi Spring 2011 - Pink Pouts, Solid Brights, and Statement Accessories

There is something so utterly intriguing to the Fendi girl. Perhaps, the subtle nature of the clothes makes the girl walking down the runway so sophisticated. The accessories are always a focal point in the shows season after season. Structured volume is a key element in the clothes here...wide sleeves and and loose fitted skirts were meant to be forgiving and different. ALTHOUGH - many of the looks were sometimes too oversized in my opinion.

Nonetheless, I happen to mostly enjoy the boldness of the color in both the outfits and the accessories. The shoes in particular made for great add ons - ultimately pulling together the overall look. Colorful trousers and pants have been widely suggested investment piece this season. It is fun to play around with solid bright colors, blocking them against one another in different combinations: blues with greens; pinks with yellows; orange with purples - or keep it safe by mixing any color pair with white.

The narrow cut of these true blue trousers is very nice option for tailored suiting.

The overall shape of this outfit is a little unusual - yet very appropriate for a classy work outfit.

The light green dress paired with orange accessories is super yummy for summer.

Its all about coral this season and what better way to wear it than through a waist-cinching dress?

I like this look because of what the belted tunic has to offer...Definitely a great go-to piece  that can be enhanced with accessories.

Alberta Ferretti Spring 2011 - Boho Chic

Alberta Ferretti finally took a small turn from her usual girly party frocks to relaxed bohemian casual wear. I have never seen Ferretti experiment with chiffon to such lengths - literally. The floor-swept skirts were the most noticeable piece. They have certainly become a universal trend this summer season. The softness of the skirt's floral prints were so beautifully paired with hand-crochet sweaters. The combination made for a ultra relaxed yet very feminine look.

Neutral colors and light fabrics makes the collection highly attractive to most sun-kissed babes searching for the perfect outfit for dinner by the sea. Flat gladiator sandals adorned with floral embellishments and skinny leather straps were perfect compliments. There was certainly something more wearable and versatile to this collection then we have seen in the past - creating utter balance and serenity.

The crochet light green top is a great color for this particular outfit. I love how the skirt looks as if it was dip-dyed.

White will forever be a staple color for summer. This makes for a perfect white dress.

Again, I really enjoyed the light green Alberta used in her collection. This particular strapless dress is a style we have seen multiple time, yet the color grabs the eye.

Similar to the first outfit shown, I think the floral print on this skirt is so romantic.

Beige and rose is a color that can really be only seen on tinted skin tones - for otherwise people will tend to look washed out. This outfit makes for an easy and comfortable look.

Akris Spring 2011 - Monochromatic Cuts

The brand, Akris, has been on my radar for the past couple recent seasons. After coming to the realization how far a fine tailored suit with quality fabric can go in a woman's (and a man's for that matter) wardrobe. Truly, I can't ever seem to get enough of blazers. It is amazing how put together a woman can look with a blazer. A blazer with jeans, a blazer with a dress, a blazer with shorts, or a blazer with a skirt - there are multiple ways in which someone can wear a jacket. Cotton, linen, and some virgin wools are the best fabrics to wear this summer. A white blazer is a necessity this season, as it has been shown multiple times throughout many of the shows.

Another trend that is shown in this Akris collection is how monochromatic all of the outfits are. This is a trend that has only recently appealed to me. I especially love what the shorts suit has to offer in the color white. Not only does it look amazing all put together, but the separate pieces themselves can be used other ways. The key to a monochromatic outfit, is choosing stand out accessories. A pop of color in a belt and/or shoe is certain to make the outfit look more put together.

As previously stated, I am loving this white summer suit - showing off a woman's legs in all their glory.

Shirt-dresses is a great option for a woman's summer wardrobe in the workplace. This baby blue color is so fresh for the season.

Another summer suit that looks great in a summer weight grey...The tan accessories are a great addition as well.

An interesting and different cut for a dress - very classy and appropriate for an array of occasions.

This color linen is a true favorite of mine for the spring/summer time. The high collar and lack of lapels makes for a unique change. The jacket meant to hit perfectly at the hip is sure to be universally flattering.

A solid navy dress is a necessity for a woman's wardrobe in the summer.
