Valentino Spring 2011 - Subtle Romance

The changes the brand Valentino has made ever since the man himself retired, are in many ways headed toward the right direction. We may not see a plethora of ravishing red gowns hitting the runway as much as past season, however the customer is still responding to more wearable knee length dresses and jacket/short combinations.

In this collection, we still see the frills an thrills that lace and ruffles have had to offer the brand for decades. The customer certainly knows what shes getting when she purchases a unique Valentino piece. The whole vibe has even gone so far as eliciting a very dark edge to the feminine clothes...The consumer will definitely respond to this contradiction as she begins to get tired of the over done ruffles and yearns for a more edgier femininity. These girls aren't just delicate flowers anymore...They are roses with thorns.
