Milly Spring 2011 - Eccentric Combinations

When I envision my style, I would never resort to using the brand Milly as a reference point. Nonetheless, I find Milly so intriguing because of its well thought out direction as a brand. For a small company, it certainly has made big marks in the fashion industry and manages to have significant sell-threw in their wholesale business. When I think of Milly, I picture bright happy prints fit to flatter the female body. Its such a fun brand - and thats what fashion is all about right?

My favorite aspects of this collection is the use of jade greens, blues, oranges, and hints of purples. The cut of every dress is so flattering for the woman, which is something that stays consistent throughout Milly's collections.  What changes the most is the color usage and variety of prints. The eclectic accessories add nice compliments to the outfits as well.

The beauty of the outfit is everything that is formulated around the simple black dress. From the striped cotton jacket to the cinched belt and chunky bangles, this outfit is anything less than boring.

This dress just puts a smile to my face. The bright orange flower print is so pretty and fun. The whole shape and style of the dress is also very classic.

The a-line dress will forever be a universally flattering silhouette on every woman. This dress is certain to be a best seller.

The mix of stripes and floral prints makes this outfit so unusual, yet so extremely fun - two things you wouldn't THINK would go together but totally works. The play on like-minded colors and the mixing of prints will certainly continue to be a more modern way of dressing.

What is so great about this look is how the accessories creates more substance to the overall look. Nothing spruces up a simple dress like a belt and chunky necklace.

This dress is also made in a knee-length (more form fitting version) which I absolutely adore. The geometric print is so flashy yet classic.

This vibrant purple print dress looks just as good in person as it does here in the picture. Makes such a classy and fun piece for summer cocktails and BBQ's.

Pairing long jackets with shorts has been one of my favorite looks this season because it adds a different dimension to layering in the spring/summer time.
